Gwrych Castle, where the show will be hosted for the first time in IAC history, will allegedly be guarded by a security firm that employs the former special forces.

ITV bosses are now said to be working on securing a deal to protect the castle – and all its secret IAC quirks – ahead of November.

According to a television insider who spoke to The Sun, the aim of hiring the security guards is to create a “ring of steel” around the spooky location.

It comes as building work continues around the historic building in order to make it safe for the cast and crew.

“The overall aim is to create a ring of steel around the landmark as ITV continue to transform it into a working set,” the source told the publication.
