Berks Arts Council has selected artists to participate in two public art projects that are part of its new initiative titled “Art for Hope, Healing and Community Unity in the Public Realm.”
One, the Outdoor Gallery, will feature 20 artworks to be located on the South Penn garage and the Fourth and Cherry garage in downtown Reading. Nearly 60 entries were submitted for review and consideration from City of Reading and Berks County residents.
Artists selected to participate are Ailey Albright, Suzanne Biebuyck, Suzanne Cody, Kimberlee Dawn, Greg Didyoung, Emily Dreibelbis, Serena Ercoli, Hannah High, Zoungy Kligge, Jessie Knuth, Ashley Kolpak, Faith Miravich, Cassi Rodriguez, Marlen Sosa-Rosa, Janice Torres, Enlly Torres, Elizabeth Trumbore Tammy Updegrove and Kristen Woodward.
In addition, eight local artists were selected to have their work showcased on bus shelters on Penn Street in downtown Reading.
