LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A new entertainment center nestled in downtown Lexington is hoping to open its doors to the public within the next 30-40 days.
Lex Live is a nearly 90,000 square foot complex located across from Rupp Arena on the corner of W High Street and S Broadway.
Inside, it features a virtual reality arcade that can host Esports tournaments, a bowling alley, a corner bar with a stage for live entertainment, a sports bar, and ten movie theaters. The facility also serves food which is all made from scratch, and both private events and showings can be hosted at Lex Live.
“You have something here for everybody,” Lex Live owner and CEO George Kirkorian, said.
One of the ten movie theaters is the “large format experience” theater,, which he calls the “heart and soul” of the complex.
Krikorian said it has a screen that is more than 80 feet wide, a dual laser projection system, and a Dolby Atmos sound system.
